Maintaining wooden cladding : Preparation
Wooden cladding must be prepared in advance. Our XILIX DEGRISER solution is ready-to-use and designed for outdoor wood (cladding, decking, wooden furniture, etc.). It can be applied with a brush to create a clean, even surface.

Preserving wooden cladding
After the preparation stage, it is necessary to apply a preventive treatment to the wood. Treating wooden cladding reinforces the wood’s properties, making it resistant to wood-eating insects (larvae and termites) and preventing the development of cubic rot and fibrous rot.
XILIX ALL PURPOSE TREATMENT comes in a ready-to-use, liquid, water-based form. Perfectly colourless, it can be covered by all our finishing solutions.
If parts of the wood have been attacked by wood-eating insects or wood-eating fungi, after treating the damaged parts or replacing them, XILIX ALL PURPOSE TREATMENT will give the wood sufficient properties to prevent further attacks.
Protecting and decorating wooden cladding
Our treatment solutions are not finishes; they have no protective or water-repellent properties to combat the damaging effects of the weather and UV rays.
Installing a solution to protect and decorate wooden cladding will either block the effects of bad weather (UV and rain) by applying a protective film, or slow down the ageing of the wood by protecting it from bad weather without blocking the greying process.
